So my travels yesterday were not my favorite.
At all.
I made it to Nashville, TN, safely.
But it wasn't because the other drivers on the road were being kind as they were driving.
I had a few close calls.
But I'm here, and I don't have to get back on the road til Monday.
So hopefully the next couple of days will be relaxing.
The next few photos are still in Oklahoma.
I never realized how big OK was, unitl I was driving across it by myself.
It was pretty ridiculous.
OK
OK
OK
OK
The one thing about Oklahoma that is different from the roads of NM and TX is that they have grass and trees surrounding the road.
So that makes for a somewhat pleasant trip.
OK
In the reflection you can see my snacks/drinks chair.
OK
OK
OK
I thought Fort Smith was farther away from the Arkansas/Oklahoma border than just 8 miles.
It made me sad to find out that I would have to keep driving 50ish miles to make it to a different state.
OK
I don't remember what this was...
But I remember it being really cool.
I was bored the entire way out there.
Thank goodness I have music!!!
OK???
This could actually be Arkansas....
I don't remember.
In this picture, you can see the fun swirly crack in my windshield!
haha.
This is Arkansas.
I know that for sure!
I know that for sure!
There's a giant cross in the opening of the trees at the back of the picture!
Giant bulldozer on the back of a semi.
I'm pretty sure the wheels on that thing were as big as my little bug!
TREES!
There are lots and lots of trees on this end of the country!
It's amazing!
Still in Arkansas.
I still had another hour to go.
I thought I was never going to make it to TN!
The black car in front of me had a TN license plate.
It was the first one I had seen that day!
Honestly, I got really excited.
I thought that I was close to the border.
But I was wrong.
About 50 minutes later I got to TN.
The giant bridge!
And the pyramid!
They're both in Memphis!
I knew I was close!
Welcome to TN!
Yay!
Now only three more hours in the car!
Ha, I tried to catch a picture of the pyramid.
But I failed in this pic, so I had to try again.
The blurry building right in front is St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
I forgot that it was in Memphis.
TN scenery.
It's pretty right?
So for a while, there were hills that I got to drive over.
It was quite fun. And I could see for a while ahead of me.
A giant river....
I don't remember which one that is though.
Only 13 miles away from Nashville!
That was the LONGEST drive ever.
I don't want to have to drive that far by myself again...
It was insane.
Like I said, the music was what helped me the entire way out there.
I was dancing up a storm for a while.
And I don't know how many people looked at me funny as they drove by.
I'm pretty sure they thought I was crazy.
Haha, little do they know that I am.
love the pix!!! im glad your drive went safe!! i know just driving 4 hours to silver was long and boring and singing & dancing saved my life :)
